Lost is a self-portrait exploring the haunting absence of a missing piece of myself. Rooted in a place I've called home since birth, I grapple with an indefinable loss, a fragment of my identity erased by time. A significant part of my life was stolen prematurely: my father. His memory, once tangible, has faded to an ethereal whisper. His face, voice, and shared moments have become elusive phantoms in the labyrinth of my mind.
The self-portraits themselves become extensions of this loss, employing long exposures to blur the lines of consciousness and physicality. By obscuring or concealing parts of my body, I aim to visually represent the fragmentation of my mental and emotional state.
