Envision is a multisensory installation that interrogates the profound shifts wrought by urbanization on our landscapes. By juxtaposing the ethereal with the concrete, the past with the future, I invite viewers to contemplate the environmental and societal costs of progress.
Through a convergence of video, light, and sound, I create immersive environments that evoke both nostalgia and unease. Phantasm mirrors the fractured nature of memory as light scatters across broken glass. Reminiscence is a fluid meditation on the impermanence of natural landscapes. Future Boxes presents a dystopian vision of the city as a relentless march of development.
Drawing inspiration from Cambodia’s rapid transformation, I bear witness to the loss of serene waterways and verdant landscapes to concrete jungles and polluted waters. This ecological crisis is mirrored in the work's oscillating between tranquility and chaos.
Ultimately, Envision is a call to reflection. It invites viewers to question the trajectory of our cities and to envision a future where human prosperity coexists with environmental sustainability.
